Aventuras Tepuy Cancellation and Refund Policy

Effective Date: November 21, 2024

1 - Introduction

This Cancellation and Refund Policy establishes the terms and conditions under which Aventuras Tepuy will process cancellations and refunds of the contracted services. By making a booking with us, you agree to the terms of this policy.

3 - Cancellations

2.1 Cancellation deadlines:

  • 30 days or more prior to the trip start date: Full refund minus a 5% administrative fee.
  • 15-29 days before: 75% refund of the total cost.
  • 7-14 days before: 50% refund of the total cost.
  • 0-6 days before: No refund.


2.2 Cancellation procedure:
To cancel a booking, you must notify us in writing via our official email or via the cancellation form on our website.

 

2.3 Special circumstances:
In the event of serious illness, death of an immediate family member or natural disasters at the destination, a full refund or rescheduling of the trip may be considered at no additional cost, subject to the presentation of documentation that proves it.

3 - Refunds

3.1 Processing of refunds:
Refunds will be processed within 10 business days of approval of the cancellation request.

3.2 Refund method:
The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original booking.

3.3 Reimbursement Limit:
The maximum reimbursement amount shall not exceed 100% of the total cost of the trip paid, excluding any travel insurance purchased.

4 - Booking Modifications

4.1 Date Changes:
Date changes requested more than 30 days in advance will incur an administrative fee of 3% of the total trip cost.

4.2 Itinerary Changes:
Itinerary changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.

5 - No-show

Failure to show up on the start date of the trip without prior notice will be considered a last-minute cancellation and no refund will be offered.

6 - Unused Services

No refunds will be offered for services included in the package that are not voluntarily used by the customer.

7 - Cancellations by Aventuras Tepuy

In the unlikely event that Aventuras Tepuy must cancel a trip, a full refund, or the option to reschedule the trip will be offered at no additional cost.

8 - Chargebacks

8.1 Procedure:
In the event that a customer initiates a chargeback with their bank, Aventuras Tepuy reserves the right to dispute such chargeback by providing all relevant documentation demonstrating the legitimacy of the transaction.

8.2 Resolution:
If the chargeback is resolved in favor of the client despite the evidence provided, Aventuras Tepuy reserves the right to include the client on a list of clients ineligible for future services.

8.3 Fees:
Any fees associated with processing a chargeback will be the responsibility of the customer if it is determined that the chargeback was initiated unjustifiably.

9 - Force majeure

In cases of force majeure (such as natural disasters, pandemics, acts of terrorism, etc.) that prevent the trip from taking place, Aventuras Tepuy will work with the client to reschedule the trip or provide a credit for future use.

10 - Travel insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers cancellations. Aventuras Tepuy will not be responsible for expenses that may be covered by travel insurance.

11 - Disputes

Any disputes relating to this policy will be resolved in accordance with the laws of Venezuela. In the event of not reaching an agreement, both parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Caracas, Venezuela.

12 - Policy Modifications

Aventuras Tepuy reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.

This Cancellation and Refund Policy is governed by the laws of Venezuela and other applicable international regulations.
